An absolute pain to clear up, and then the hat shrank from washing so I had to redonate it after all that hard work. Good luck with the dog-clasp bag restoration!! The Corde bag is gorgeous though, and the blue and white back. It's a pity you had to remove the lining from that fabulous green bag! The powder thing sounds familiar: it might be some glue that has disintegrated, but a cup full sounds like quite a lot. I hope you can fix something. £2.48 is quite a good price for that lot! xxxPolyester Princesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05602613792584925087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1640928856322776096.post-46001746531122855312017-10-20T02:36:52.646-07:002017-10-20T02:36:52.646-07:00That Corde bag is definitely a keeper! That Corde bag is definitely a keeper! The Vintage Knitterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03479653990888198151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1640928856322776096.post-52694429329758511472017-10-19T17:57:36.055-07:002017-10-19T17:57:36.055-07:00Oh, I know that brown dust from vintage shoes. Always fun to find your foot coated in powdery decomposing 20th Century god-knows-what at the end of the day.

The blue and white bag is really nice-great you could fix it. Can't go wrong with corde either.

For what it is worth-I've had good luck getting rid of mildew odour with bicarb dusted through an item and then being left in the sun to air out. Won't always work of course, but worth a try.
